Managing API Keys on Dialvox.ai
API keys are essential for using the Dialvox.ai services as they allow your applications to authenticate and interact with our platform. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create and manage your API keys effectively.
Generate an API Key
Follow these steps to create your API key, which is your passport to integrating Dialvox.ai's capabilities into your applications.
- API Keys Section: In the navigation menu, click on "API Keys" to access the API keys management area.
- Create Key: Hit the "Create new Key" button to initiate the process of creating a new API key.
- Configuration: Assign a name to your key that will help you identify its use case, and select the duration for the key's validity if you want it to expire after a certain time.
Note: Keys created with unlimited validity will always be active unless manually revoked. Important Note: Keep your API key confidential. Sharing it could give unauthorized users access to your Dialvox.ai account and services.
Managing Existing API Keys
It's important to keep track of and manage your API keys over time. Here's how you can handle existing keys:
- View Keys: All active keys will be listed in the "API Keys" section. You can review the names and expiration dates to keep track of each key's purpose and lifecycle.
- Add time to expired Keys: To add more time to an expired key, click on the "Edit" icon next to the respective key. This will open a pop-up where you can extend the key's validity.
- Revoke or Unrevoke Keys: If a key is no longer needed or if you suspect it's been compromised, you can revoke it by clicking the "edit" icon next to the respective key. You can also unrevoke a previously revoked key if needed.
